How my emergency WordPress support works
Simple, direct and fast. No retainer, no ticket system and no being passed around.
Tell me what's happening
Send over the symptoms, any error messages and what changed recently. Even rough details are enough to get started.
Rapid triage & quote
I will review the issue, identify the likely cause and come back with a fixed quote before any work begins.
Repair the problem
Once approved and I have the neccessary credentials, I will work through the issue carefully and quickly, whether that means rollback, cleanup, debugging or recovery.
Stabilise & advise
After the fix, I will explain what caused it, what was done and what to change so it is less likely to happen again.
Common WordPress issues troubleshooting
You may not need me right now! These are the WordPress problems I fix most often, each with a step-by-step guide to help you diagnose and resolve it yourself.
500 Internal Server Error
A catch-all server error usually caused by a faulty plugin, broken theme code, exhausted PHP memory or a bad .htaccess rule.
Read the guide →White Screen of Death
A blank white page usually signals a fatal PHP error, plugin or theme conflict, or memory exhaustion. Proper debug logging is the key.
Read the guide →Hacked Site & Malware
Cleanup is more than deleting a bad file — it means finding the entry point, removing backdoors and hardening against reinfection.
Read the guide →Database Connection Error
WordPress fails to load entirely when it can't reach the database. Often down to incorrect credentials, a crashed DB or corrupted tables.
Read the guide →Site Suddenly Slow
A sudden speed drop usually points to a rogue plugin, caching failure, bloated database, or a hosting resource limit being hit.
Read the guide →Redirect Loop
Occurs when WordPress, your host or a plugin keep bouncing the browser between competing redirect rules.
Read the guide →403 Forbidden
The server is refusing access — usually file permissions, a firewall rule, a security plugin, or a damaged .htaccess file.
Read the guide →Locked Out of Admin
Lost access to your WordPress dashboard? You can often get back in via the database, WP-CLI or by resetting user roles directly.
Read the guide →Stuck in Maintenance Mode
If the 'briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance' notice won't clear, an update stalled mid-run. It's usually a quick fix.

Frequently asked questions
How much does emergency WordPress support cost?
Support starts from £50. After a quick triage I will send you a fixed quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises. If I cannot fix the issue, you do not pay.
My WordPress site is down right now — how fast can you help?
I typically respond within one hour during UK business hours and often outside them too. Once I have access I will begin diagnosing the problem immediately.
Can you fix a hacked WordPress site?
Yes. I will remove malware, clean backdoors, restore access and harden your site to prevent reinfection. If your host has suspended the account, I can liaise with them to get it reinstated.
Do I need to give you my WordPress login details?
Not upfront. I will assess what is wrong first and provide a quote. Login or hosting access is only needed once you decide to go ahead, and I can walk you through sharing credentials securely.
What if you cannot fix my WordPress issue?
You will not be charged. I operate on a no fix, no fee basis for emergency work — if I cannot resolve the problem, you owe nothing.
My site broke after a WordPress or plugin update — can you roll it back?
Yes. I can restore a backup, roll back the offending update, or fix the compatibility issue so you can stay on the latest version safely.
Do you fix WooCommerce checkout and payment issues?
Absolutely. Broken checkouts, failed payments, missing orders and gateway errors are all things I deal with regularly.
Can you help if my hosting provider cannot fix the problem?
Yes — that is actually one of the most common reasons people contact me. I work at the application level where most hosts stop, and I can migrate your site to better hosting if needed.
