Hey, I'm Adam! 👋🏻

I'm Adam, a freelance web designer and developer based on the south coast of the UK. I care a lot about doing good work, being easy to work with, and getting the details right.

Version 0.1

I built my first website with my dad when I was about seven years old, and that was me hooked.

Like most early websites, it was colourful, chaotic, and showed absolutely no restraint when it came to marquee tags and animated GIFs. That early curiosity never really went away. I kept making things, kept learning, and eventually turned what started as a hobby into the work I still do now.

Even then, what I liked most was the mix of creativity, experimentation, and the satisfaction of making something that felt entirely my own.

How I Work

I've been freelancing independently for over a decade, working remotely with a wide range of clients and projects, from helping small businesses improve their websites to contributing to larger builds as part of wider teams.

I like to keep projects clear, collaborative, and well thought through. Because I work across both design and development, the process tends to feel more joined up from the start, with less getting lost in translation along the way.

When I'm not at my desk, I'm probably spending time at the piano, not always successfully, wandering by the sea, or eating a frankly irresponsible amount of cruise ship breakfast.

What I Bring to the Table

Joined-Up Design & Development

Because I work across both design and development, the process feels more joined up from the start. No long game of telephone — ideas stay intact from concept to code.

Senior Experience

Over 15 years of professional experience across a wide range of clients and projects. That helps me spot problems early, make sensible decisions, and keep things moving.

Strong Technical Understanding

I'm comfortable working across design, front-end development, WordPress, and the technical detail underneath it all. That means I can look beyond how something appears on the surface and think about how it all fits together.

Commercial Awareness

I care about how a website looks and feels, but also what it's there to do. That means keeping the bigger picture in mind — clear communication, thoughtful design, and solid development.

Personal Projects

Outside of client work, I love building personal projects, small tools, and ideas that let me experiment a bit more freely. Some of them are useful, some are niche, and some exist purely because I wanted to see if I could make them.

Let's work together

I'm available for freelance projects. If you've got an idea or need a hand, let's chat.
