PC Build
I switched from Mac to PC in late 2024, building a custom PC focused on both web development and gaming. I went with a mid-range AMD build, which has been fantastic for my needs so far. It's not the best time to be buying hardware, and I still have a Mac around, but I really love the flexibility and performance of my new setup.
- CPU — AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- GPU — AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT — come on team red ❤️
- RAM — 32GB — need a bit more once the RAMpocalypse is over
- Storage — 2TB NVMe SSD
- OS — Windows 11 — needed some thorough debloating, but enjoying it
Peripherals & Furniture
- Monitor — Alienware AW2725DM primary and a Pixio PX274 in portrait on the side
- Keyboard — SteelSeries Apex 3 TKL — ~150 WPM typing speed
- Mouse — Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed
- Headset — Logitech G Pro X
- Microphone — Blue Yeti X
- Webcam — Razer Kiyo
- Stream Deck — Elgato Stream Deck 15-key
- Speakers — Creative Pebble X
- Desk — IKEA TROTTEN Sit Stand Desk
Tools & Software
- Photoshop — begrudgingly paying the subscription, it's still the best
- Affinity Suite — good for most other design stuff, replaced Illustrator for me
- VS Code — love the flexibility and remote SSH extension
- Todo — built my own task manager recently, blog coming soon!
- Google Chrome — the profile switcher is still the best, but always trying new browsers
- Hetzner Cloud — remote Linux development server via SSH, loving this setup!
