Wessex Resins
Bespoke design and WordPress development for a specialist epoxy manufacturer, created to support a broader repositioning around its core offering, technical expertise and long-standing heritage.
The Brief
Wessex Resins needed a new website as part of a wider repositioning of the business. With some brand-specific areas moved out into separate websites, the main Wessex site needed to refocus more clearly on the company’s core offering, technical expertise and long history in the industry.
The goal was to create a site that felt more confident and more coherent, while giving the team a better platform for presenting products, services, support content and enquiry routes. I worked directly with the marketing team through an initial wireframing process, then designed the site from scratch and built the final bespoke theme myself.

The Approach
The project started with wireframes developed alongside the marketing team, helping define the new structure and priorities before I moved into full design. From there, I designed the site from scratch with a focus on clarity, credibility and a stronger sense of identity.
A major part of the job was making sure the repositioning came through clearly in the final site. Rather than trying to cover everything equally, the new structure puts more emphasis on Wessex Resins’ core strengths, specialist services, trusted product range and established heritage.
I then built the site as a bespoke WordPress theme with flexible editing tools, so the team could manage a wide range of content more easily while keeping the presentation consistent across the site.
The build needed to support several different types of content, from product and service pages to support resources, distributor information, team content and case studies. It also needed stronger enquiry routes throughout, including a prominent Book Discovery Call journey integrated with Microsoft Bookings.

The Results
The finished site gave Wessex Resins a clearer and more focused platform for the next stage of the business. It supports the repositioning well, with stronger messaging around the company’s core offering, long experience and technical credibility.
It also brought a wide and varied set of content into a much more coherent structure, making it easier for users to move between products, services, support content and contact routes without the experience feeling disjointed.
From a content management point of view, the new build gave the team far more flexibility. Key pages, support resources, distributor listings, team content and landing pages can all be updated through the CMS without everything needing to come back through development.
Just as importantly, the site now has clearer conversion paths built into it, from direct contact options to the Microsoft Bookings integration for discovery calls. The end result is a site that feels more confident, better organised and much more in step with where the business is heading.
